Most bill calculators multiply your usage by a single rate. A real Meralco bill does not work that way. It is eight or nine separate charges, each with its own basis, and VAT is applied per charge at rates that change every month. We reproduce that arithmetic exactly.

Every formula, rate source and validation result is published on our methodology page, including what we have not been able to verify yet. If a number here is wrong, we would rather fix it than defend it.
